Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the ACU Financial Hardship Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  1. Commencement of Studies:
    • Be commencing an undergraduate course at ACU in Semester 1, 2025.
  2. Student Status:
    • Domestic students, or
    • International asylum seeker students holding one of the following visas:
      • Temporary Protection Visa (TPV)
      • Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV)
      • Bridging Visa A (BVA)
      • Bridging Visa E (BVE)
      • Temporary Humanitarian Stay Visa (Subclass 449)
      • Temporary Humanitarian Concern Visa (Subclass 786)
  3. Study Program:
    • Apply for any ACU undergraduate degree.
  4. Hardship or Barriers:
    • Demonstrate evidence of hardship or barriers to accessing higher education, such as financial need, relocation, single-parent background, first in family to attend university, social or cultural disadvantages, or adjusting to life in Australia as a refugee.
